Transrural Residences from 24 to 31 October ’23

4 community leaders

4 continents

gathered for 7 days

in the Garrotxa

The first Transrural Residency organized by Balkar.Earth invites 4 community leaders from 4 rural communities from different parts of the world with very diverse forms of governance. An invitation to accompany the process we live in our territories, an invitation to share proposals, an invitation to exchange experiences, an invitation to take responsibility for governing our community, in short, to inspiration and learning in common.

The residency program offers different spaces for inquiry, participatory research, dialogue and co-creation. A work that Balkar.Earth proposes on three levels: individually, among the group of residents and collectively with different communities in the territory* .

This project is possible thanks to the collaboration of Faberllull Olot who welcomes the 4 community leaders in their residence. Also thanks to the funding of the Catalan Cooperation Agency in the framework of the “Balkar, weaving communities” project.

*If you have an organization, are part of an active community or are simply interested in meeting the residents , do not hesitate to contact us at info@balkar.earth
